Land O’ Lakes is a beautiful community about 18 miles north of Tampa in Pasco County, Florida. As its name implies, Land O’ Lakes is interspersed with an abundance of lakes providing plenty of fishing options. The suburb has a nice blend of city and country with welcoming neighborhoods, nature preserves, and a variety of dining and shopping. Although it's growing fast, Land O’ Lakes still maintains a small-town feel and a peaceful atmosphere.

The suburb, Land O’ Lakes, blends in with its lush landscape amidst many beautiful lakes, ponds, and wetland areas. Waterfront homes are plentiful for those who love lake life. Neighborhoods set near wooded areas provide a getaway from noisy city life. Other established and newer neighborhoods offer a variety of single homes, townhouses, apartments, and condominiums. If you can’t find what you need in Land O’ Lakes, it’s a short commute to the Tampa Bay metropolitan area for scads of entertainment, shopping, and dining choices.
Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
A favorite local restaurant, serving Bar-B-Q since 1985, is Hungry Harry’s. Bring a big appetite and give their daily all-you-can-eat special a try. Benedetto’s Ristorante Italiano is a family-owned restaurant providing authentic New York-style Italian food in an intimate setting with great service. They own their own farm, so it’s a true farm-to-table restaurant utilizing the freshest ingredients.
A shopping destination not far from Land O’ Lakes, with over 120 stores and several upscale restaurants, is the Tampa Premium Outlets. There are also great shopping options in nearby Wesley Chapel, such as the Shops at Wiregrass. If you're needing something quick and easy, the local Village Lake Shopping Center is the place to go.
Things to Do
Adventure Coast Fun Park is guaranteed fun! It features go-kart racing, mini-golf, batting cages, gemstone mining, and arcade games. The clubhouse is the ideal place for celebrations and gatherings. The Plantations Palm Golf Club gives golfers a challenging golf experience with plenty of water and scenic holes. It also features a LED lighted range and mini-golf. Mulligan’s Pub is on-site, where you can enjoy one of their weekly Irish special dishes, daily happy hour, and live music.
Wildlife viewing and natural scenery are in abundance at the Conner Preserve, with its 2,980-acre protected area of marshes, sandhill ridges, and native flatwoods. There are ample biking, hiking, and horseback riding trails to view whitetail deer and other wildlife. Another popular place for hiking, biking, fishing, and camping is Cypress Creek Preserve, which is just east of Land O’ Lakes. It features miles of multi-use trails with lots of scenery along the way.
For those who want to practice their clay shooting or archery skills, visit the Tampa Bay Sporting Clays. With over 200-acres of woodland, they have several sporting clay courses, archery fields, and instruction for any skill level.
