Wesley Chapel is a suburb of Tampa, located in Pasco County, Florida about 25 miles north of downtown Tampa. Its unique name, Wesley Chapel, came from the Methodist Church in the area. Residents are attracted to Wesley Chapel for its natural beauty and luxurious neighborhoods. Wesley Chapel’s focus on increasing its amenities is evident, with its new recreation complex furnished with two gymnasiums, a recreation center, and 144-acres of parkland.
This vibrant inland community has plenty of local dining and shopping options without having to travel too far. Its newer and established residential neighborhoods are primarily medium to larger single-family homes with townhomes available as well. Their neighborhoods are attractive to those with school-age children and anyone wanting to enjoy a strong sense of community.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
The Shops at Wiregrass is an upscale, outdoor mall with plenty of specialty shops, dining, personal services, and major department stores. Its main street atmosphere is great for strolling around the shops enjoying the sidewalks lined with palm trees. While at the mall, the Grillsmith Restaurant is a comfortable venue to enjoy modern-American classic entrees made with the freshest ingredients. Also in the Wiregrass area is Pinchers, a local favorite for Florida-style seafood.
Fresh Market is held at the center of the Shops at Wiregrass on Saturdays. The festival has over 50 vendors selling produce and homemade goods. For deep south Italian food, Noble Crust is the place to be. On the weekend, Noble Crust features a fantastic brunch with everything from their famous meatballs, Sicilian Tuna Carpaccio, to fried green tomatoes–yummy!
The Grove is an intimate shopping center in Wesley Chapel where you find big-box retailers, boutiques, personal services, dining, and a movie theater. Entertaining events, like concerts, carnivals, and light shows are held regularly at The Grove and are fun for the whole family.
Things to Do
If you can’t make it to the beach, Wesley Chapel has an extraordinary seven-and-a-half-acre freshwater pool called Epperson Lagoon. The family-friendly water park features a 30-foot water slide, floating obstacle course, kayaks, paddleboards, beach, and an in-water bar. A must-see if you like fun in the sun!
The Wiregrass Ranch Sports Campus is a premier facility with 70,000-square feet of a clearspan hardwood surface. There are eight basketball courts and 16 volleyball courts, as well as a spring floor cheer and tumbling area, a strength and training space, and multiple outdoor fields.
What’s more fun than having a place to ice skate in sunny Florida? The AdventHealth Center Ice is just that and more. Adults and youth enjoy a full slate of hockey competitions, figure skating, and lots of open ice for public skating. This is an active place for ice skating enthusiasts with a myriad of programs for any skill level.
There are three golf courses near Wesley Chapel set amidst the area’s inland marshland, woods, and lakes that golfers of all skill levels enjoy. The Saddlebrook Golf Resort is an Arnold Palmer-designed course featuring a 16-acre state-of-the-art golf training center.
